3 sexy ways to do coffee.

Mmmmmmm yes coffee you sexy, delicious thing you. Okay so I am not really that obsessed I don’t drink it allll day long. But I do enjoy one maybe once every two days and when I have it, I destroy it and it makes me do magical things. So do we have to just drink it to get its magical powers? No!! Coffee is just as sexy in foods too. 

Getting creatitive in the kitchen doesn’t have to be slavibg away for 3hrs per recipe either, you would need a few coffees to survive if you had to last that long though. 

So I have come up with 3 simple recipes that’s will get you jumping for joy when you eat them. 


Creamy Coconut Coffee Hits!

Ingredients 

1/2 cup coconut yogurt 

1 shot of coffee

2 full tablespoons of chia seeds

1 tablespoon of rice malt syrup

Method 

1. In a bowl mix the coconut yogurt, shot if coffee, rice malt syrup & chia seeds. 

2. Spoon mixture into mini moulds (these are from Kmart). 

3. Place in freezer for at least 1hr before consuming.

Makes 5 small servings.

Coffee Choc Little Bites

Ingredients

1 cup oats

2 shots of coffee

1 organic egg

1 tablespoon rice malt syrup or sweeter of choice

3 tbsp cacao

100mls of almond milk or milk or choice

1/2 banana

Method

1. Place all ingredients in a blender andblend until   like a cake batter.

2. Pour into moulds or muffin tray.

3. Place in a preheated oven of 180degrees and bake for 15-20minutes until cooked.

4. Enjoy warm or cool. Can freeze for later. 

Makes 12 small or 6 large muffins. 

Coffee Vanilla Smoothie 

Ingredients 

1 frozen banana

30g vanilla protein

1/2 cup ice chips

2 shots coffee

1 teaspoon rice malt syrup or sweeter of choice

Method

1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until like a frappe consistency. 

2. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Serves 2 for a snack or 1 for a meal (can add 30g oats for a meal). 

Activated Charcoal to Whiten the Teeth?

Being a registered nurse, I have seen charcoal being used in a very different way to whitening ones teeth. I have seen Health Professionals use it to reduce the effects of food poisoning, to cure hangovers, to treat poison victims and I have also seen it used on massive open wounds to reduce the smell. 
About a month ago, I walked into a cafe and came across Charcoal powder to take orally. As I do, I instantly googled the product and seen numerous benefits from taking the product. It draws toxins from your body and if used correctly can be used to detox the body. So I thought why not give it a a go? I bought it. I feel amazing. But I’m not here to review that type of charcoal that I bought. I’m going to share with you about the teeth whitening. 

When researching and gaining more knowledge on charcoal, I came across Eboniivory. An activated coconut charcoal teeth whitening product that was new on the market. During my research, I read information that you can use charcoal to whiten the teeth. I had tried once with my other product I had purchased, which was straight charcoal and it was so gritty and tasted foul. Eboniivory had created an activated charcoal that was specific for brushing your teeth. With the addition of organic orange, peppermint and Australian lemon myrtle oils, it was more pleasant to use and it wasn’t as gritty on the mouth. My mouth felt clean and fresh after every use. 


EBONiiVORY teeth whitening kit is 39.95 comes with an 80g bag of activated charcoal and a bamboo eco friendly toothbrush (which I might add is super gentle on the gums).


The product is 100% natural, vegan, animal friendly, handmade, raw and organic.

So I have been using the product once a day for 7 days, and to tell you the truth, I’m actually thinking of replacing my toothpaste all together with the product. My teeth feel so clean after every use and my whole mouth feels so fresh too. My teeth are looking super white. People have always commented that my teeth have always been white, but due to my new #mumlife situation my coffee addiction hasn’t been as friendly on my pearly whites. 


My teeth are looking very bright and white, but my white bathroom has definitely needed a clean more often. I’m not a careful person at the best of times when eating, so I have had a few spills. The packet includes instructions on how to keep your bathroom clean while using the product, but I decided to live life on the edge and not read the instructions until day 3 as I was too excited to hook into the product hahaha. Learnt the hard way. Positive note, it did make me clean my bathroom more often. 


Top was 7 days ago and bottom is today. I think they appear whiter. It’s so hard to get photos of your teeth haha. 

So this product is a win win for me. I highly recommend giving it a go.

Peanut Butter & Vanilla Bark.

The team nutraorganics  made my Peanut butter & Vanilla bark and featured it in their website. Feeling honoured.

Recipe is as followed..

Mix 3 tbsp @h2coco organic oil, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tsp organic honey. Melt.
Mix in 1 serving of vanilla protein ( I used @nutraorganics vanilla)
Add your mix ins – 2 tbsp of your favourite granola or mixed nuts or even just berries.

Allow to freeze for 15minutes.

Enjoy

Breakfast Loaf

The gorgeous @elleroseschoe made my breakfast loaf.. She added chia seeds, raspberries and coconut to the mix.. 250g uncontaminated oats or quinoa flakes
100g of vanilla protein powder of choice. (If don’t want to use a protein powder use 100g almond meal, vanilla essence and an apple)
2 organic eggs
50-100mls of coconut water
Vanilla essence
Cinnamon

Blend all together, pour into a loaf tin.
Mix in 200g blueberries or 2 bananas or mixed berries or any fruit you wish
Bake on 180degrees for 35-40min.

Top with your favourite superfoods – chia seeds, pepitas, nuts, coconut OPTIONAL

Serves 5. Can freeze.

Chocolate Chia Bars 🍫

2 tbsp organic extra virgin coconut oil
1 tbsp almond butter (or peanut)
1 tbsp organic Manuka honey
1 shot of The Chia Co chia seeds
1 tbsp of Organic Burst Maca powder
1 tbsp of cacao
1 tbsp of a vanilla WPI protein (optional)

Mix all dry ingredients into a bowl.

Melt all the wet ingredients.

Whisk wet ingredients into dry slowly.

Place mixture into moulds and set in freezer for an hour.

Enjoy! These little superfood bars are great for a treat when you feel like something naughty but it’s actually pretty healthy!
