My Colonic Journey Continues

I have been seeing Mel at The Colonic Clinic for a little over two years now. During October and November this year I had some extra treatments with Mel, I had previously was having them on my cycle.

I was starting to experience some unknown anxious feelings in the evening before I would go to sleep. I told Mel about it and she suggested that I should come into the clinic for some extra treatments to see if it would ease, she also explained a gentle gut cleanse she had started herself and that she had a new product in the clinic. The product was Qenda Ultimate Fibre. Ultimate Fibre contains all certified organic ingredients from nature, it is a fully balanced spectrum of powerful herbs abundant in plant fibre, nutritive vitamins, minerals, demulcents, anti-oxidants, essential compounds, enzymes and adaptogenic herbs.

I was aiming at doing 2-3 colonics per week in the beginning to really try and shake these emotional feelings I was having at night. When I have colonics I generally walk out the room feeling so chilled out. Like walking on a cloud, I feel light, my shoulders hold less tension and I have less brain fog almost instantly. Mel always has a giggle at me because I am soooo relaxed! After a week of taking Qenda and having 2 Colonics I was having no anxiety at all and easing to rest a little faster at night.

I continued to do Qenda for the next few months. It blew me away at what my body was letting go off. I would feel a little anxious in my upper tummy and then 20 minutes later I would poop out a big bit of old black hard poo. It was like my mind was allowing my body to cleanse of all the shit (literally) I was holding on to.

Over the past year I have been loving vegan/veggie meals but since starting Qenda, I made a conscious decision to eat purely plant based foods. I feel really great and I am loving the creativity my husband and I are having with creating new meals in our family home. I do not label ourselves with a “type” of way we eat. However eating plantbased would be the best way to describe it. Dave and I feel it compliments our lifestyle and our conscious heart that is learning so much about looking our for our world we live in.

I often get asked if I will continue to have colonics for the rest of my life! I have to admit that I actually cannot live without them anymore. The feeling I get post treatment is like nothing I have experienced before. I genuinely trust Mel with her guidance. She is a dear friend to myself and my family now, I will be forever grateful to my friend Emma for introducing me to Mel. She is a true blessing to have in my life.

Mel firmly believes, (I agree with her too) that because I have been so consistent with my colonics (like getting my hair done when I am on my cycle). That this is the reason as to why I am seeing so many benefits within my body. My skin is clearer, I get less anxious when I have them, my poops are great and I now go daily. Plus I hardly ever get sick anymore.

Those post colonic feels!

I am so open to chatting all things colonics and as you know I see so many benefits when I have them. I am always open to answering your questions or chatting to Mel for you. My skin is amazing, I feel happier in my mind, sleep is better, the insomnia is less and I poo 4 poos the size of my elbow to wrist every single day (yes you read that right). I do work in the medical world as a Registered Nurse but I have a true belief that the natural medical profession can also help our world of sick humans too. Maybe even help to prevent having to use some of the these services as often as we do now.

#aliceinhealthylandcolonicjourney – with Mel from The Colonic Clinic Capalaba – Part 3

I have been seeing Mel at The Colonic Clinic Capalaba, for a little over 8 months now. So I thought it was time for a Colonic update. I have had 20 colonics now and feeling amazing about the whole journey. Every time I have a colonic I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders and my brain has had a mental clear out.

A lot of you ask me regularly why I get them? Well firstly they are a great way to rid the toxins from my body. I also have them to support my own gut health, I love getting them for my emotional well being as well.

In my previous blog,  My journey with Mel from The Colonic Clinic Capalaba (part 2) I had told you I was getting Colonics once a month on my period. Well a little has changed since then. I fell pregnant with our third child. So as soon as I found out this wonderful surprise I instantly told Mel. She told me it was time for a little break during the first trimester and for me to allow my bubba to grow. Mel told me the reason behind my colonic break during the first trimester, was due to the baby forming and growing its organs, plus you don’t want toxins stirring around in the mother’s blood. Mel said she was happy to continue treating me again once my second  trimester commenced as she had been treating me previously to this pregnancy. I had also had two births and 6 months of colonics prior. I personally was happy as well to continue my colonic journey, as I knew I would be able to determine the difference between labour pain/contractions and poo cramps. Mel and I have a strong professional/client based relationship which plays a significant role in my treatment. For my last trimester I will chat to my OB about getting a slightly different treatment from a colonic, but I will explain that closer to that time.

I really missed my colonics during the first  3 months of my pregnancy, but I knew it was best for my growing bubba. I had my first one back a few weeks ago and lets just say it was the most relaxing procedure yet. Gosh it felt good to get back into them.

So what have I noticed since our last Colonic update…

Improvements to my skin – I made the switch to organic skin care products and facials earlier in the year. I have found that having colonics alongside this, is a great combination for my skin. I get extremely dry skin and I feel the Colonics hydrate me from the inside out. After a Colonic I feel like my organs have had a much needed drink! Mel uses ONLY purified water for the duration of the Colonic Hydrotherapy session.

I nourish my body with even more fruit and veggies - Yes that’s right. I feel that having these procedures, allows me to listen to my body and be more in tune with it. I know I feel great when I consume lots of colourful earthy plant based foods. I fill my plate with nourishing goodies and have eaten a lot less meat products. I do not eat dairy anyway but feel even better cutting out the meat too.

I say bye bye to parasites and tape worms everytime – Yes even the healthiest of us have them. I have only seen lots of little ones clinging to my waste, but sometimes I forget to look in the clear poo flushing pipe as I am so relaxed in there so I could be missing loads.

My Pelvic Floor is well trained – I think its from holding in the water, you switch on your pelvic floor and abdo muscles each time. #winning

My poops are wrist to elbow length everyday - haha TMI? hehehe NEVER we are talking about Colonics after all. My bowel motions are right on clock twice a day. I have never in my life had clockwork bowel motions. I also have a step in my toilet so I can have a correct technique during my daily poop experience haha.

My shifts during my colonics get more and more every time – It still amazes me that every colonic I have, my shift gets bigger and bigger! I let go of more crap from my body. Mel has a poo chart in her consultation area and we go through what number my poo was (see poo chart below). We discuss what my shift was like over coconut water and green smoothie, post treatment shots. Sometimes during my shift I get quite emotional. When I have a big shift I usually am extremely patient mentally and feel so light afterwards like I literally let that shit go.

My eye sight is clearer – this was one of the first huge changes I noticed. I still feel this is the case. “I can see clearly now the rain as gone” seriously though it’s mind blowing.

I sleep amazing after Colonics – Sometimes that night post treatment I have quite vivid dreams too.

My concentration levels are always at an all time high post treatment – Yes even with baby brain hehe.

My journey with Mel from The Colonic Clinic Capalaba (part 2)

So you may have seen from my insta that I am continuing to see Mel from The Colonic Clinic Capalaba. In fact I feel I am her “stage 5 clinger” and I always have so many questions and topics I chat with her about. I laughed with David (hubby) and said I think I am chatting more with Mel than you hahaha. I have been going to the poo fairy AKA Mel, for a little over a month now and I am really enjoying this new health journey I am on. I will be forever grateful to my darling friend who referred me to the Poo Palace.

I was told about Mel from The Colonic Clinic Capalaba by a dear friend. She also goes to see Mel and she told me that I would absolutely adore her, not to mention how great she felt after her appointments with her. So I decided to go and say hey to Mel and meet this woman that my friend praised so highly.
